Coming Home to You

I’m writing this in pen with 80 miles to go
So it don’t fade away until the time I get back home
My throttle pushed to the limit
Since I left the show
And I ain’t slowing down
Until I see your face in old Chicago

It’s been a while
And I ain’t getting over
Until I get on over to you
To see you sleeping
I’m barely breathing

We’ll do it all
I’ve been ready
Oh I’ve been ready to
And we’ve been dreaming
We’ve been scheming
Baby I’m coming to you
I’m coming to you

Your words are stuck in my head
And I don’t think it will clear
You said you loved me since December of last year
My heart is whispering to keep slow
But I think it’s out of fear
Living life in the fast lane
Time is clutching, I’m in 5th gear

Cuz It’s been awhile
And I ain’t getting over
Until I get on over to you
To see you sleeping
I’m barely breathing

We’ll do it all
I’ve been ready
Oh I’ve been ready to
And we’ve been dreaming
We’ve been scheming

Baby I’m coming back
Right back to your side
Chest stretched open wide
I feel it buzzing right to my toes
Sweat is creeping right through my clothes
I’m thinking about you
And I can’t wait
Until I see your face in old Chicago

Cuz It’s been awhile
And I ain’t getting over
Until I get on over to you
To see you sleeping
I’m barely breathing

We’ll do it all
I’ve been ready
Oh I’ve been ready to
And we’ve been dreaming
We’ve been scheming
Baby I’m coming to you
I’m coming to you
