Karmic

The time has come the woman said
To talk of all the times
You could have come to help me with
Reading between your lines

And you said you were sorry
And you said you needed time to mend
And you said you didn’t mean a word
And you said you would lend a hand

But backstabbing thieves
Don’t bother with me
And money can’t answer
Why you’re boring to look at
Sometimes we wonder
If he borrows she
Or if maybe, just maybe
They all steal me.

The time has come my girlfriend said
To make up some more lies
She could have made me blush if
I could read between her thighs

But she said she was sorry
And I said I was dead
She said she was sorry
And I said
Buried in the ground
Now we’re dead.
(No it wasn’t her this time
Just another karmic
Repeat of the same.
Old.
Girl.)

But backstabbing thieves
Don’t bother with me
And money can’t answer
Why you’re boring to look at
Sometimes we wonder
If he borrows she
Or if maybe, just maybe
They all steal me.
To breathe.

This time I’ll wake up at midnight
Turn out the lights
And follow the stars
To the place beyond time
Where the clock has lead me
The boy in the green
So obscene, but a scene
You know I’ll make her my queen
Live young forever
And fly until morning
The turning
The journey
The things that make the stomach ache
Hit your heart and make heaven claim stake
In this dream to come
That you and I could be
Forever young

But backstabbing thieves
Don’t bother with me
And money can’t answer
Why you’re boring to look at
Sometimes we wonder
If he borrows she
Or if maybe, just maybe
They all steal me.
To breathe.
To breathe.
To breathe…

I saw you in the sky
Ready to steal my breath
All over again.
