WELCOME TO THE REAL BEGINNING OF THE YEAR.
When the clock strikes Midnight on New Year’s Eve we cheers and kiss. We say, “I can’t believe it’s the New Year already!” But what we don’t know is that the worst is yet to come. Capricorn is about work, lessons and power struggles–what you thought you wanted, could actually turn around and bite your ass, or worse just be a flop of nothing. Your New Years resolutions end up dead in the water, and for what? You’re just a victim in this situation.
You see, Astrologers know when the real New Year starts: it starts in Aries Season at the Spring Equinox. Aries is the sign of newness, infancy, identity, and basic human needs, there is no sign younger, or more wide-eyed then the Aries.
And the fact that Aries is the newest sign, doesn’t mean that the New Year has completely started. In order for this to happen, we have to wait for the Aries New Moon.
The New Moon Phase of the Lunar Cycle comes when the Sun and Moon are both in the exact same degree in the sky. The Moon, being the quickest moving energy above us, moves to the Sun’s position to block out the star’s light completely, where we end up with complete darkness. This is why we choose the New Moon to set intentions–where there is nothing, we can plant our seeds. It does nothing to plant a crop of Carrots on top of fully bloomed Rose bushes, so why do this in your life?
When the Moon enters the exact same degree as the Sun, during Aries Season, we get the Aries New Moon. We get a chance to start clean, turn over a new leaf and begin a real New Year, where change can actually begin.
So let’s ask the real questions. What do you want out of this Year? Where do you want to go? Who do you want to be? On a piece of paper (or your phone notes), write down 2-5 of the most personal and real things you can think of. Say a prayer over them–ask for them. Remember them. Think about them constantly. Make the idea of them become a feasible reality for you.
Year after year we get stuck in the same rut, because we refuse to believe that we could change our lives, or that what we want could actually come to us. And I’m not talking about magic, I’m talking about belief in yourself–that you could change an idea or dream into an actual living situation. Successful people do this all the time. And now you have an upper hand, because you’re planting these seeds on a clean earth.
ARIES NEW MOON INTENTIONS
First you need to know your Sun Sign and your Ascendant (Rising) Sign. The Sun sign is your birthday, but you can only know your Rising sign, if you know the exact time of your birth. Below you can find your Rising sign and Sun sign’s Aries New Moon intentions.
YOUR SUN SIGN
Your Sun sign on the Aries New Moon, will be inclined to set intentions in your physical reality. This means things like: quitting your job, working on your body or relationships. Your Sun sign placement can give you some ideas on where you want your year to start. Just remember that Aries is NEW, so at this moment in time, you will want newness. After you evaluate the area, what would make it new again, for you?
If your a(n):
Aries: You will be looking at yourself, physical appearance, and identity in the world.
Taurus: You will feel the need to go inside your head to sort out what is troubling you, what unconscious parts of you are often discarded, and what is nudging you to change.
Gemini: You will want to take a look at your networks of colleagues, associates, and even friends, to see if they still serve their purpose for you.
Cancer: You will be reevaluating your career, public image (and what you put on social media or into the world), and how you relate to the authority figures in your life.
Leo: You will be interested in what parts of your life seek expansion. Your views could change about school or religion, and your need for personal fame in the world will be given attention.
Virgo: Your sexual identity (and need to be close to another person) will come under fire, as you are aware of the negative and/or positive energy they are exchanging with you.
Libra: Your relationships are always important to you, and even more so now. Do you love them and do they make you happy? What needs repairing?
Scorpio: Your body is of great importance to you now, are you eating right, or working out effectively to get the desired results?
Sagittarius: You will be reevaluating the pleasure you get from life, whether or not you have fun, or if your heart is still in it.
Capricorn: Your family, home and preoccupation with the balance of who you are, and what is really important in your life, will be at the forefront.
Aquarius: You will be thinking about your community and how you are effecting them with your words, and vice versa.
Pisces: Money, what your own, and even how attractive you are, will be a big deal to you now.
YOUR ASCENDANT (RISING) SIGN
Your Rising Sign on the Aries New Moon, will be inclined to set intentions for your life purpose. This means things like: envisioning the perfect life, believing in yourself, imagining yourself with real love. Depending on where your Rising is, can give you some ideas on where you want your year to start. We tend to stunt our whole lives by being mentally blocked, choosing to look at these areas can lead to real steps to change.
NOTE for more advanced Astrologers: If you have an interception in your chart, or uneven houses, read the signs on either side of your Rising sign, to see if one of them makes more sense to you, the New Moon could fall in another life area, if this is the case.
If your a(n):
Aries Rising: You will be looking at who you would like to be as a person one day. What changes could you make in life that would lead to you truly being yourself?
Taurus Rising: What does God or the Universe really want for you? Are you being nudged in a direction to be truly clean of all the baggage you carry with you? What would make you free? You may already know what you have to do.
Gemini Rising: What’s your dream life? Who are you and who is there with you? There is power in visualizing what you can achieve with others.
Cancer Rising: You have a real purpose and it requires that you get out into the world and seek it out, do you have a true calling that is overshadowed by the anxious inner life you hide under?
Leo Rising: There is more to your life than ambitions of fame and belief in the world accepting you. Where you find your identity is not bad, it’s just good to know what is on the other side. What happens when you achieve this life, what do you want?
Virgo Rising: Your sexual prowess is not up for debate, as we are sexual beings. Can you visualize someone knowing you completely and still choosing to be fully, and deeply connected to you? It’s there you will see who you could be.
Libra Rising: You are not yourself without seeing yourself in someone else’s eyes. Do the eyes your currently looking into, see you as the great human being that you are?
Scorpio Rising: Do you work because you love it, or are you caught up in the grind of daily achievement and perfectionism, only to miss out on great opportunities that could change your reality?
Sagittarius Rising: What does your heart yearn for in this life?
Capricorn Rising: You need to be reminded to make time for yourself with silent meditation, and to get to the most honest truth of you who you are. Doing this can change your whole professional trajectory from the inside out.
Aquarius Rising: How are the words you exchange with others, adding to the value of your life? Do you want more for yourself, or are you perfectly fine exchanging ideas with the same people, over and over again?
Pisces Rising: Security and stability are important to you, but is the need to hold on to this security, stopping you from overall growth? You can change your future, you just have to let go of the past.
