the game.

mistook my misdirection.
as hard to get.
my mind is at your mercy.
it’s hard to let. go.
from here it will get harder.
from here we bend the rules.
from here on out we will try. so hard.
not to lose our cool.

there is a game.
money in the win.
but not so fast.
that would be a sin.
play our hands.
but hold some back.
the longest game of hold em.
or blackjack. fact.

control. your. self.
feel this beneath you.
i tried not to fall.
but i’m breathless at the sight of you.
aren’t they all?
the only thing that’s true.

cat and mouse.
am i the cat. no.
the mouse.
tripping. slow.
DOWN.

with so many pieces in our hands.
so much to lose.
it’s a wonder we stay here at all.
like there’s another path to choose.
i know this game.
i play it well.
i’m on top.
if you can’t tell.

mirror, mirror on the wall.
who’s the flakiest of them all?

the game that is fun. for you.
fun for everyone.
when you get it, will you want it?
why not go for it? then run.
it’s just a game.
we can’t get hurt.
it’s only my life.

there is mystery in the unknown.
and i know once you have me, you won’t want me anymore.

no one has yet to win.
but when they finally do.
i lose.
but not for long.
even when i lose i win.
those are the rules
of any game.

i take a step back, let you go
i told you I’m not bulletproof
now you know.

you’re haunting, you’re dead
you’ll regret what you did.
i can’t know you ever again.

so. either way.
i  win.
this game is OVER.
just remember i win.
i win.
i win.
i win.
