Todd

You were a quiet boy, unlike your father
So he took you out to the water
The thought of drowning now weighs you down
Was he an ocean of hope or the old creek in town?
Batten down the hatches, lose all your attachments
A rough sail ahead, are you better off dead?
You’re chained to the sea—now you coast in belief
Pulling you to the blue space feeling in a barrier reef
Is she a beautiful creatrix or a cold hearted thief?
No floating lukewarm savior could tame her misbehavior
No sort of renovator could fix a temple built by a traitor
You will always live in the shadow of your dad
Years later and that still makes me so fucking sad
