You’re fiction Kate, 2008.

If I could be like you
I would never feel
Anything
Again.

I could live the lie
The outwards in
I would never think
Again.

But I could never be
Like you
It took time to see
What you’ve made of
Tainted and diseased
You crawled like the savior
And I could never be
Like you.

All the darkest thoughts
The mind does feed
You fucked up everything
And you still want to believe

That I could be like you
That I could be like you

And I could never be like you
And I could never be like you
And I could never be like you

I could never be like you.
Nor would I want to.
Try.
