Virgo’s are notoriously the hardest to please of all the Zodiac signs. So to be honest, I’m a little nervous about writing you a love letter—you may never see how much I actually love you, when you’re tearing apart my grammar and questioning my intent—and Virgo, that is partly why you are so great, but there is more. So I’ve thought about you for weeks, edited this for days, and am ready to let you know: Virgo, this is why I love you.
You’re a writer and a counselor. A listener. You are receptive and easily amused. Your sense of humor is dry, like the earth that Virgo is made of. The same earth that coincidentally makes you kinky. You love sex. You love getting it done. In fact, you know your way around most things, because you are precise, in tune with nature, and responsive.
Like Gemini, Virgo is ruled by Mercury, the planet of communication. I would say though, that unlike Gemini, you are ruled by the dark side of Mercury—the part of communication that cannot be seen. You would rather compliment my outfit to someone else; throw insults my way, when you’ve loved me for years; or write it down in a poem, rather than spew your feelings for all to see. And unlike your Mercurial counterpart, you value silence and don’t feel the need to fill voids with your constant chatter.
Virgo rules over the 6th house of routine, daily work, and health. This means that you take care of things. You make lists, you think of goals, and then you achieve your dreams. You’re not like your opposite sign, Pisces, hoping that wishes will take you to the top. You are pragmatic and logical about what you were put on earth to do.
You are the only sign that has a desire to get it done. “Finish this” is actually written in your itinerary for the day. You do your job and you do it well. You deserve to say, “I’m the only one who…” because it’s probably true.
You are the anti-escape. You have your 5th house fun, and then you get back to that 6th house business. You aren’t one to dilly-dally, unless of course, you already wrote “procrastinate” down in that schedule of yours.
You are well-liked wherever you go. Because you make things happen. You take care of your own body and mind, and then you nurse those who are ill, back to health. You organize others.
You are the enigma and the perfectionist, only because you have to be. You know that if the details are passed over to focus on the big picture, we will all fail. You are smart, and will use your intelligence and upper hand to save and protect—never to hurt.
Virgo wants to be the hero, and of all the signs in the Zodiac, you are the only one with the actual skills to do so. Where Leo might be Superman, all flash and drama, Virgo stands behind him, making sure he actually does his job. This is why you are the glue that holds the first half of the Zodiac together with the second half. How can we be ready for a Libra relationship, or a Capricorn career, if we have not learned how to pay attention? How can we be heroes if we have not learned how to save ourselves?
