I Remember.

Too bad they didn’t think
it was worth it for me
To find love in a place
That was created in space

And time chooses blindly
The boys who treat you kindly
Now we have nothing to show for it–
Just pictures we posed for it.

A treehouse romance
That is kept from our reach
It’s the thread of our life
That would have been worthwhile to keep

But I remember
I remember
I remember
I do
But I remember
I remember
I remember
You.

Its a shame Ted wasn’t mine
The price for it was held back in time
Like a boy named Aaron
With pockets full of money
Sent me away on an errand
To make fun of me…

All the memories
That maneuvered their way into my dreams
From their own private reality
From the same corner
Same row
The ones who know
Aren’t supposed to know.

Inside my life,
Inside my head
The thievery of which
Is never dead

It’s the thread of my life
That would have been worthwhile
To keep

But I remember
I remember
I remember
I do
But I remember
I remember
I remember
You.

I’d put my heart in a net
For you.

It’s the thread of my life
That would have been worthwhile
To keep

But I remember
I remember
I remember
I do
I remember
I remember
I remember
Me too.
I remember you
Me too.
