The Trees in Genesis

By June 29, 2026No Comments2 min read

the two trees are calling me
to tell you about the disease
don’t eat from me
don’t you even dare
says tree number one
don’t eat from me
don’t even dare
says tree number two

one is made of fire
the other will never tire
tell me that you are the one
and you can eat from the fun
but if you are not
if you are animus
eating from either tree
will end up in a deadly
animus death
and with one breath
your world will end
you will wish you never did
you will believe
you will know
you will walk through the snow
you will never ever grow old
at least in your mind–
so when it’s time
the people will laugh
you will ask
“what is all the fuss about?”
and they will say
it’s because you look older
than the mirror has told you
but you can’t see
because you ate from the tree
and you are not
anima like me

the tree of fire
brings you knowledge
the tree of life
brings you belief
if you eat from either
you will die
you will live life
as a liar
you will believe
you will know
but you will never
be able to show
that you can lift
us all of the ground
like the god
you thought you were
when you ate from the trees
that god told you
would be a disease
to you
