the writing’s on the wall.

By September 17, 2025No Comments2 min read

When I look at your sweet face
I think about disgrace
All the time, all the traces
That lit up faces
And erases
Of earth
Not in line.
Of speaking not as fine.

And the real one
I suspect is coming
Will take his time on you
And the one who will save you
Is just holding out, can’t you?

See it coming
See him saving you
See him waiting
Until the right moment to?

I’m sorry they can’t
Cuz they just aren’t the man
They sit with me here
Twinning too much to care
About how they’re gonna get out
And then get me out

So please don’t twin
Please just be my soul
Please don’t be exactly like me
I love you as my goal.

If I risk it all?
Will you break my fall?
Will you give it all
To me?
How do I live?
How do I breathe?
When you’re not here
I’m suffocating.

I want to feel your love
I want to feel it all
I want the sex
I want the fall

So I’ll wait
Because for you
I’ll risk it all–
Because the writing’s on the wall.

Mene, Mene, Tekel, Upharsin.
Numbered, numbered, weighed and divided.
You’re not invited
To my bat mitzvah.
You’re not invited
to sing along.

Only he can decipher it–
Only he knows the truth.

It means:
Many men who are tiny, take the whore from the son.
But he who is worthy, is a giant, and he takes the whore to be his wife.
