The Bogan

bogan

/boˈɡan/

Bogan is a verb that means to end one action, and then to take the first step, perform the earliest part of an action, or originate a brand new action, in the same breath, at the same time. Bogan shares a similar meaning to “begin” but is typically a more informal version of the phrase: “I will end this part of my life, to begin a brand new life.”

To Bogan is about starting a new part of your life, before the old part of your life has faded away. By the time others are privy to your choices, you will have already moved on. At anytime, a Bogan has occurred, the planning stages to the next adventure, were long completed before they left. When you Bogan, the new phase of your life begins the moment, or split second, in which you inform your lover, partner, business associate, parent or guardian, boss or superior, that you are indeed out of there.

“This part of my life is over, so I will Bogan out of here. On to the next–that I have already planned out meticulously.”

Bogan: I will end, to begin again.
