There’s Nothing Left To Give You

I can see right through you
I can be inside of you
And where is she?
And all your pleas–
You’re pleading me
You’re coming through
You’re damaged
unchanged
You’re failing
Becoming unhinged
Open up, I crawl inside
“We’re telling lies”
Completes you
And I can’t know you
Please release me

And I can see all the damage
It’s cold it’s dark
Hollow pieces attached to nothing
And then your vision shines through
Tearing us all apart
As we prepare for your coming
And I can’t know you
Please release me

And I’m not anything like you
And I can’t know you
Ever again
